Rotary Club Denia: 35 years next to the Dianense civil society

21 June 2019 - 00: 58

The 1984 year was running when, at the hands of the then governor of the district, the charter of the Club Rotary Dénia was delivered to Carlos Lázaro.

.

Since the initiative of Sigfried Borho and together with several leading businessmen of the Dianense society of that time, our club was born. His objective was none other than to help the civil society of Dénia in everything that was in his hand.

Among the actions carried out during these years include the delivery of a van for the displacement of students of the San Vicente Ferrer School, the delivery of another van to the Red Cross, the purchase of chairs for the beach for convicted users to the curb, a bathroom adapted for Pascual (user of Condemned to Curb and well-known in Dénia), bicycles adapted for walking, scholarships for students, instruments for the conservatory Tenor Cortis and the adaptation of the multisensory room of the day center of La Xara, among many others.

Throughout these 35 years there have been a multitude of youth exchanges that have taken place, with Denia being one of the most prominent and recognized clubs in this regard.

The Club has also had the satisfaction of having two governors, Paco Chapa and Juan Ballester, and of having the next district governor for the 2021 year, Javier Ygarza.

Proud of all the work done, we will continue to help the society of Dénia, the region and the world in all those projects that we are considering and in which we can invest our effort.
