The Dénia Health Department has vaccinated practically all of its professionals and associated companies in record time. According to the Manager of the Health Department, Luis Carretero, "It has been a great job of the entire vaccination team, in less than 24 hours 1.400 professionals have been vaccinated, including the structural staff and collaborating companies such as catering, cleaning, security or medical transport".
The campaign started on Friday, with the distribution and administration of the doses to the 11 basic health areas of the Marina Alta. Starting at 15:00 p.m., a special device was set up in the hospital assembly hall and in all the health centers to start with the professionals of what are considered First Line services such as: Primary Care, ICU, Emergencies, Hospitalization Plant COVID and the Preventive Medicine Unit. Throughout the afternoon there were hundreds of professionals who came to the vaccination point to receive the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. The first to do so at the hospital was Juan Cardona, current head of the Anesthesia and Resuscitation service, on which the Intensive Care unit of the health center depends.
The response to the call, launched on Friday, has been massive. In fact, Luis Carretero has added, “We are already working on the next section of the population to be vaccinated. There is no more important task at the moment in the Health Department than vaccination. We are collaborating side by side with Public Health to move forward with maximum speed. "
