A group of residents living in the Calle Marques de Campo Has taken the initiative to form an Association of Resident Neighbors to "have a voice and vote in decisions that affect the main road of the city", where they say they feel "as secondary actors".
These residents complain that they have been demanding an association that defends their interests with respect to the many decisions that are taken on this street as the closure to the traffic, the facilities that the collective of taxi drivers or problems with the crane. They also denounce that, when the public administrations announce that they will meet with the neighbors, they do not know who they speak with to deal with all these issues, and that they are "in the middle of a war of merchants and hoteliers".
Therefore, next Wednesday 22 of July to the 19: 30 hours will be held in the Center of Portelles the Founding Assembly of this association, from which will come a Provisional Board of Directors to carry out all the formalities that allow the legalization of the Association.
During the assembly, the Statutes of the Association of Resident Neighbors of Marqués de Campo Street will be approved; the provisional fees of the Association, and a provisional calendar of the meetings of the Board of Directors and of the General Assembly of the Association.
This first assembly is called all neighbors who have their usual home in Marqués de Campo, whose data is unknown but is estimated around 150 housing. To reach all of them, the neighbors driving this initiative will distribute the call in the coming days between the buildings in the area.
