A minor of 14 years had to be rescued this Wednesday afternoon after suffering a heat stroke while making a route through the mountain of Segària, in the municipality of Ondara, with his father. The events have happened to the 15: 15 hours, when the child has begun to feel nauseous.
Until the area the rescue helicopter has moved Alfa 1 of the Provincial Fire Brigade. The health worker has placed a route to the child to cut the nausea and have moved to the District Park of Dénia. There an ambulance was waiting for him, which has transferred the minor to Hospital de Dénia, where it has been attended.
Recommendations for summer excursions
After this event, the chief of rescue of the firefighting consortium, Salvador Luque, recalled the importance of avoiding the hot summer hours in the summer for mountain routes. Luque also insisted that minors are comparable to the elderly because of the maximum sensitivity they present in these situations.
From the Provincial Fire Department Consortium the importance of sun protection is remembered and it is recommended to leave the route with an average of 3 liters of water per person.
