Quique Dacosta becomes the new image of Alicante DOP wines

The three Michelin star chef, Quique Dacosta, has raised its glass to become the new image of Alicante Wines Protected Designation of Origin.

In the campaign to which the chef puts an image, Quique is spoken of who came to Dénia, from his native Extremadura, to become the renowned chef that he is currently, an inspiration that reflects the wine sector in the Denomination of Origin Alicante.

Dacosta unites in this campaign its messages of defense of the local product with creativity to the passion for the wine of this historical Spanish demarcation. Because when Quique came to Alicante, "He came to stay", slogan of this new campaign.

The President of the Regulatory Council, Antonio Miguel Navarro, thanked Dacosta for its involvement in this sector. "He is also living a few years of excellence and creation always with the territory and native varieties as a reason for being" and that he also lives an important international recognition.

The Denomination of Origin Alicante is one of the oldest in Spain, created in the year 1932 to highlight the importance in the production of wines from this area and its recognized differential quality. With origins that date back to 3000 years ago and products as unique as muscat, monastrell wines or the Fondillón. It currently has 39 warehouses and has been one of the first to be accredited in the ISO 17065 by the National Accreditation Entity, ENAC.
