On June 15, the forest fire surveillance work began in Dénia with the participation of volunteers from the Agrupació contra Incendis Forestals (ACIF) Marina Alta, Civil Protection and Local Police of Dénia, Gata, Xàbia And Pedreguer and the Civil Guard.

In addition, a triptych has been published with preventive advice to protect the dwellings - to properly install the trees and plants of the plots or store the fuels in ventilated and protected places, among others - guidelines for using barbecues and what to do and how to act in Case of fire. These triptychs will be distributed among the associations of neighbors of the city, the councils of neighborhood, municipal buildings, companies of rent of tourist accommodations and hotels.

Forest fire monitoring

The fire prevention works are complemented by the cleaning of municipal lots by the Department of Parks and Gardens of Dénia. For its part, the Department of Environment is in charge of monitoring the private plots.

In order to avoid risks, the City Council performs subsidiary executions to be able to condition the plots neglected by their owners.
