Puig welcomes young people in Dénia who start working as information assistants on the Valencian beaches

The President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, has chosen Dénia to celebrate the symbolic act of welcoming the 1.000 young people that the Generalitat has hired this summer to work as information assistants in the beaches Valencian.

Puig had a meeting with a group of these young people this midday on the beach of Marge Roig de Dénia, accompanied by the mayor of the city, Vicent Grimalt, the Minister of Justice, Gabriela Bravo, and the regional secretary for Security and Emergencies, José Maria Ángel.

The President recalled that this hiring of young people to report on the beaches is a program that comes to support the municipalities to ensure the maximum possible safety on the beaches of the Community.

One thousand young Valencians from 18 to 30 years old, selected from among the 24.000 registered for the call, will be in charge of offering information on protection regulations to guarantee access to the Valencian Community coastline in complete safety. And, above all, the President has said, "They will offer the best face of the Valencian Community, which is hospitality".

The Generalitat has distributed the total number of beach assistants among the three provinces, allocating 418 in the province of Alicante, 234 in Castelló, and 348 in the province of Valencia.

In Dénia 42 correspond, some native and many others from different Valencian populations. Before going to the beaches to fulfill their mission, young people will receive a training session on basic issues in order to carry out their work.
