The Local Agenda Denia 21 organized as part of the activities commemorating the International Day of Mountains 2014, Mountainlover the first race for runners and walkers. The test has an urban circuit Dénia 8.848 meters in length, distance chosen coincide with the height of the highest mountain in the world, Everest.
This sporting event also has jointly and severally, for the full collection of entries will go to the Ludai association.
The presentation of this athletic event took place this morning in the Town Hall of Dénia by Councilman 21 Agenda of Dénia, Vicente CheletThe psychologist Ludai, Maite Cabrera association and the coach of the Local Agenda 21 Jesús Reina.
The latter has explained that the race will take place on December 14, at 10 hours in the morning. It will leave Els quatre cantons and will go through an asphalt circuit that will take participants through Marqués de Campo streets, Castell d'Olimbroi to the Real Club Náutico, detour to the IES number 3, Camí de Sant Joan, Joan Fuster avenue, La Pedrera, the quarry, Pinaret d'Elies, the old portland factory, Santa Paula, Torrecremada, Jaume I square, Paseo del Saladar, Diana street, Loreto, Cop and back to Marqués de Campo, where the goal will be located from the old Condado cinema.
The technical organization of the race is in charge of Somesport and on its web page registrations can be made from this week until the 11 in December, in the case of runners.
People who decide to participate on foot have until the day of the race to register. The participation fee is 5 euros. The winners in each of the four categories (senior, veterans A, B and C) of the race will receive a lithograph of the Montgó signed by Jaime Costa Tur.
Councilman Vicente Chelet highlighted the solidarity aspect of the initiative and hopes that the race will help to increase public awareness of the work of Ludai in Dénia and the region. A work psychologist Maite Cabrera summarized in his speech.
The association was born in 2008 Ludai hand some parents with disabled children who joined forces in order to create in the city a Center for Child Development and Early Intervention for children in 0 to 6 years. In 2012, the center managed Ludai obtained accreditation from the Generalitat Valenciana and joined the network of authorized centers of Valencia.
As indicated by Cabrera, the Ludai association will donate this Mountainlover Race to the acquisition of therapeutic material for the center, or to the adaptation of the floor of the multipurpose room where therapies are carried out or to pay the treatment in the center to families without resources.
Finally, Councilman Local Agenda 21 noted that the day of the race is organizing a schedule of complementary activities, of which has advanced a session of zumba, child gymnastics or spinning.
