Statement from Marina Salud regarding yesterday's protests:
Marina Salud does not refuse to pay the Professional Career, the sentence declares a right that Marina Salud has recognized at all times. The Superior Court of Justice has ratified the need for the parties to reach an agreement regarding the implementation of the Professional Career with economic content.
Marina Salud has always been and continues to be willing to negotiate on realistic bases with the will to reach agreements, proof of this are the numerous attempts to agree with the Company Committee and the different economic proposals for the perception of the complement of Career put in the negotiating table during all this time.
Negotiating positions maintained by a part of the Works Council asking for impossibilities harm our professionals and hinder the power to reach viable agreements. Requesting 25% salary increases is not a sensible option that helps unlock the negotiation. Excessive demands cannot be met that could jeopardize our ability to provide the best healthcare in our region.
