The mall Portal de la Marina will collaborate with the Association of Artists of the Marina Alta (Adama) for the management of "Escapararte", the culture space of the Navy. In the almost two years of life of this project, millions of people have passed through its installations and 23 projects by local artists have been exhibited in the windows of empty premises. What began as a temporary solution has become one of the spaces with the greatest visibility and travel for artists in the area.
For this reason, the Portal de la Marina shopping center has decided to go one step further and hand over the management of the spaces to Adama, the Association of Artists of the Marina Alta, which will be in charge of selecting and curating the exhibitions scheduled for the next twelve months in the more than 192 square meters dedicated to the dissemination of local art.
With this agreement, a further step is taken in supporting local artists, who will have in Adama the ideal representative to make the selection of the best artists and in Portal de la Marina, the patronage and space that artists are sorely lacking. local.
Toni Ortolá, president of Adama, has declared that “this is great news for artists in the area, having a space through which hundreds of people pass a day allows us to make visible the talent that is here and that many times does not have space where to exhibit. It allows us to schedule exhibitions and events and have a point of reference and meeting point for art and culture fans. "
For her part, Virginia Carrasco, director of the shopping center, wanted to thank Adama for his willingness to collaborate and hopes “that this union will last a long time and that it will be only the first chapter of a lot of them. From Portal de la Marina we are trying to support all kinds of initiatives that benefit the environment and we cannot think of a better way to do that than to support artists to make themselves known. And with the help of Adama we will be able to improve our exhibitions and the cultural offer of the shopping center. "
Escapararte expands its offer: the Marina Podcasts arrive

Or completely false. Or not, we'll see ”about famous people and their relationship with our region.
“We wanted to go beyond the pictorial or photographic work - explains Virginia Carrasco - and we thought it would be very good to turn our room into a center for experimentation and give people a voice with audiovisual projects that can become interesting content. And both “La Xarraeta” and “Peña mítica” are, so we are going to venture with them with the same enthusiasm and the same desire to entertain ourselves and have fun ”.
