The mall Portal de la Marina collaborates with the City Council of Ondara helping to alleviate the crisis caused by COVID-19. Among other measures, the shopping center has made personalized purchases to more than twenty families in the town, attending to their specific needs.
For this, together with the Department of Social Welfare and with the logistical support of the Carrefour Hypermarket, they attend one by one to the most disadvantaged families, getting to know them and delivering them food products, infant feeding and diapers. "Portal de la Marina It is part of this society and we must contribute to alleviating to the maximum the consequences derived from the pandemic. We believe that helping in this personalized way is the best way to cover the needs of the most vulnerable families. Furthermore, our intention is to continue helping more families ”, explains Virginia Carrasco, director of the shopping center.
In addition to this action with families from Oviedo, Portal de la Marina has donated four tablets to the nursing home of Nuestra Señora De La Soledad, with the aim of promoting cognitive stimulation, the contact of residents with their loved ones and helping them to carry quarantine in the best possible way. It has also made an economic contribution to the City Council of Ondara intended for the purchase of hygienic-sanitary material for citizens (masks, gloves, hydro-alcohol ...).
