Portal de la Marina will help raise food for the Red Cross with 'Carritos Solidarios'

Portal de la Marina Launches a new initiative that aims to help collect pounds of food for the most disadvantaged, through the Red Cross.

The 'Carritos Solidarios' project consists of converting the kilometers traveled by people, who walk through the center, into kilos and kilos of food for the needy. The challenge will be to reach the 1.000km traveled to be able to transform them into 2.000kg of food. And it will take place at the 12 shopping center until June 30.

The carts of the company have a GPS device capable of calculating the meters walked, per user. In this way, they will be able to add distance and once finished, will be converted into kilos of food that will be delivered to Red Cross.

"We wanted to show that we are a committed firm. So we got underway and got to involve a large number of people and brands that have helped us to make it possible. Now there is only the last step: that the visitors of Portal de la Marina den the more steps, the better so that we can transform all that energy into solidarity, ”says Carlos Fita, Portal de la Marina manager.

To participate you will have to go to the booth enabled for it and use the shopping cart. Once you have finished your tour of the mall, the computer system will count your distance.
