In this way, the 900 m2 building will be expanded and its main services will be reorganized. In addition to incorporating modern facilities and technological innovations for the diagnosis and treatment of highly complex pathologies.
San Carlos stresses that this important investment users will get a more comfortable and quality service emergency care, as it has expanded the number of general boxes and one critical. In addition it has also equipped the beds observation room, an office for the doctor on duty and one for pediatric emergencies.
Specialized areas such as the day hospital, the cardiology unit, the trauma unit, neurophysiology, gynecology and Hospitalization have also been improved.
In this way, there will be a higher quality and a patient orientation distributed over three floors. On the ground floor you will find radiodiagnosis, with a new state-of-the-art MRI (1,5 tesla of power). On the upper floor, the special exploration and treatment units will be housed, as a large day hospital. And the third floor is reserved for the hospitalization service with ten rooms.
With this expansion Policlinico San Carlos seeks to reorganize and strengthen other areas such as pediatric ward, cardiology, orthopedics and gynecology.
