Today Monday, June 3, begins in the Provincial Court of Alicante the trial of a man accused of trying to rape a girl in the bathrooms of a disco in Denia.
The events occurred in the early morning 11 September 2016, when the defendant, who had already been trying to access the toilets of women to cause a sexual encounter, followed a girl inside and tried to assault her sexually, according to the Prosecutor's Office in his brief of provisional accusation.
The alleged assailant threw punches at the victim to overcome his resistance and could not finish the rape because he was discovered by a cleaner who alerted the guards.
The Public Ministry asks for five and a half years in prison for a crime of attempted rape and three years in prison for the crime of injury.
