Peña Cultural Flamenca Miguel Poveda was created a year ago in Dénia with the aim of raising awareness of the culture of flamenco in our region. This entity, chaired by María Sandoval, integrates thirty flamenco enthusiasts. Since it was founded it has organized various performances, the last of which was "Tárabe" a fusion of flamenco and Arabic music and dance show which was very well received by the public.

The name of the rock is dedicated to the young and prestigious flamenco singer Miguel Poveda, whom they admire for years the founders of the organization, María Sandoval and Pepe Massanet. Pepe Massanet, secretary of the rock tells us that Miguel Poveda began his career singing in flamenco clubs in his country, Catalonia, and enjoy its support to attend Dénia to participate in the initiatives they have in the project.
Peña Flamenca Miguel Poveda maintains contacts with the network of flamenco clubs that exist in Spain and abroad.
