Councilor for Citizen Participation, Óscar Mengual, Calls on all neighbors to participate in the program "Participatory fall"Which starts on Monday with neighborhood council meetings of the neighborhood. On Thursday, September 8 at 20:XNUMX p.m. in the hall of the castle the participatory workshops of the Integrated Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) that the City Council of Dénia promotes as a tool for analysis and definition of objectives for the city in the next 6 years are presented.
These workshops are framed within the system of European Funds (ERDF), to assist municipalities to invest in sustainable growth based on environmental, climatic, economic, social and demographic challenges. The call EDUSI supposed to make the municipality an integrated diagnosis, and needs to define future courses of action counting, throughout the process, with the participation of the citizenry. At the same time it enables the City Council elects the ERDF funds.
The drafting of a Sustainable Development Strategy and Integrated Urban Development is a tool that meets the guidelines of the European Union to promote smart, sustainable and inclusive cities through strategic planning for the 2014-2020 period.
Mengual has indicated that "citizen participation is a transversal element in all phases of the strategy that is gaining intensity as the drafting process progresses. Plan Participation Denia EDUSI includes two main channels open to all citizens participation. On the one hand, an online survey aims to collect items for analysis on different areas of life to the city in which the return of the results of the survey will be published in the websites and will help guide the participatory workshops"Mengual has informed that the workshops will be held in 3 sessions on September 22 and 29 and October 6 and are a meeting open to all citizens where dynamics will be implemented that encourage a debate of proposals, the activation of the Social intelligence, consensus and inclusion of all participants.
