Eleven local nightlife undertake to work for the prevention of addiction

Nightlife in Dénia has recently been committed to the addiction prevention program Responsible service, designed to promote the commitment of the hospitality sector in the defense of a safe, healthy and quality leisure.

Thanks to this initiative, the managers and workers of the premises Mik Mik, Dorian GrayBuddha Sun, Paddy O'Connell, The Girl From Yesterday, Gaudí, Magerit, Jamaica, El Silenci, Sounders and Lamarserena have received training in issues related to responsible alcohol dispensing, child protection, traffic control and illegal drug use, security and control of alcohol facilities. the public establishments, the reaction capacity of the premises in emergency situations and, in general, the adequate provision of the service and customer service.

From the council of social welfare, its responsible, Cristina Morera, stressed the importance of the collaboration of these establishments since "Alcohol and drug consumption occur mostly in the nightlife environment", which makes them "privileged places to reach young people".

The implementation of this program in Dénia is a starting point for the promotion of healthy and responsible leisure in the municipality, with the active collaboration of the hospitality sector. To participate in it, catering companies must meet certain requirements such as compliance with the Code of Good Professional Practices of the hospitality sector for the prevention of drug addiction or that at least the 30% of its staff has made the training workshop of five hours .

Magic Responsible Nights

Within this initiative, the next 21 in November will carry out the pioneering activity of prevention Responsible Magic Nights.

It is a social mediation and risk reduction action that will start at 23 hours in the premises adhered to the initiative and in which a group of social mediators-magicians will tour the participating establishments doing magic tricks and handing out cards with advice on Responsible consumption of alcohol and prevention of drug addiction.
