Works in Dénia: today the redevelopment of Colón, San Francisco and Joan Fuster's roundabout

This Tuesday, 23 of January, is a highlight day in the calendar of the city of Dénia. After months of waiting, the redevelopment works started on Colón and San Francisco streets, and the creation of a roundabout at the intersection of Avenida Joan Fuster and Calle Diana.

Colón Street

The works on Calle Colón have an estimated duration of 6 months. The first section in which it will act will be understood between the streets Diana and Cándida Carbonell. The adaptation of the central lane with printed asphalt will be carried out, the renovation of the sanitation networks, potable water, with the removal of the asbestos from the pipes, and public lighting and the implementation of the rainwater network. On the south side of the street, a loading and unloading area will be created and a battery of underground containers will be installed, while the tree-planting and the installation of urban furniture is planned on the north sidewalk.

The works will affect the road traffic and the parking of vehicles on the road. On 23 and 24 days in January, parking will be prohibited on the north side of the street and 25 and 26 in the south, although vehicle circulation will be allowed. Starting on Monday 29 in January, Colón street will be closed to traffic in the affected section, diverting the circulation of vehicles through La Vía street.

Calle San Francisco

Also today will begin the redevelopment works of Sant Francesc street, in the district of Les Roques, another of the actions financed through the PIP Plan of the Generalitat Valenciana. With a budget of 338.189,69 euros and an execution period of 4 months, the works will be carried out by the Pavasal company.

Yesterday, the collection of materials was carried out in the loading and unloading area of ​​the avenue del Cid, where the Les Roques fault is planted, and as of today vehicles will be banned through Sant Francesc street.

Rotonda by Joan Fuster

On the occasion of the construction of the new roundabout at the junction of Joan Fuster Avenue and Diana Street, another of the PIP Plan projects, starting on Tuesday 23 in January, traffic will be cut at this intersection. so that the vehicles that go down by the Camí de Sant Joan will have to turn necessarily to the right by the avenue Joan Fuster, in the direction of the port, and they will not be able to cross the tracks of the train to continue by Diana.

The cars that circulate along Diana Street in the direction of the Montgó will be diverted to the right when you reach the intersection with Joan Fuster and you must continue until the Camí Pou de la Muntanya to turn and take Joan Fuster again in the direction of Camí de Sant Joan .
