A new panel in the Greenway reports the cycle route linking Denia and Gandia

13 December 2016 - 18: 32

Despite a non-existent train, the Marina and the Safor are linked by several paths. One of them, the cycling route that, from the greenway from Dénia, reaches Gandía. To make your route easier and more identifiable, the Department of the Environment and Climate Change has installed a new information panel on this route at the end of the Greenway.

Panel cycle route between La Marina and La Safor

The panel, with a map, images and explanatory text, is a larger copy of what is found at the beginning of the Dénia Greenway and its objective is to enhance this friendly 36-kilometre route that connects the capitals of the regions of the Marina Alta and the Safor. The route crosses the agricultural landscape of orange trees and the Marjal natural park, passing through the most significant corners of this space: the Bullent river, the Muntanyeta Verda and the Font Salada.

From the Department claim that "Disseminating a connection route of the two Greenways that pass through the route of the old Denia railway in Carcaixent is a first-rate incentive in the framework of environmental tourism that will interest residents and visitors of the towns through which the proposed route passes ". In addition, many cyclists can get from around Valencia by train to Gandia carrying your bike and make the trip to Denia along the route.

Link these greenways is taking advantage of the bike path Verger Pego and dirt roads Marjal natural park.
