New film shows in Dénia, this time short

That's right, today was presented by the mayor of culture Rafa Carrió and its organizer Guadalupe Arensburg, the Curtmetratges Mostra d'Animació Denia. This, will be within the CineClub program each year is celebrated in Dénia.

This exhibition is an ambitious project carried out by the same Arensburg, intended to convey to the viewer a cinema that differs greatly from the conventional but "It costs a lot of money and a lot of time to do, because it is done with much less equipment". It will also have a section devoted to children because, despite being animated, it is dedicated to adults.

Guadalupe Arensburg It has a broad curriculum, because, besides being a writer and producer of several short and have been part of juries at international festivals, is the director of Purchase and Programming Short on Canal + Spain. That is why it has become passionate about this type of films that, much effort has managed to go making its way into the world of international cinema. This, as we said, is a personal commitment that thanks to the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City of Dénia is made possible, putting our city in the landscape of theaters nationwide because it is a festival that then go to Valencia and Madrid.

There are 45 short films from 20 different countries that, over 4 Sundays, the last ones of the months of October, November, December and January, can be seen at the Social Center. Some 9 or 10 films will be seen, made with different and innovative techniques, in each of the sessions, starting at 19:00 p.m. and for a price of 3 euros. In addition, there will be an extra session, as was mentioned, dedicated to children, which will take place on the first Sunday after the Christmas, from 12:00 hours and totally free.
