Children from 10 to 12 years express their emotions through the psychocreative technique of trauma detection

The psychocreative therapist of the Project cuidArt of the Hospital de Dénia, Alicia Costa, in collaboration with the University of Valencia, has worked in recent months with children from 10 to 12 years Projeccions infantils. Aesthetic experience workshops.

With them, he has worked on the psychocreative technique of trauma detection with the aim of identifying traumatic situations and improving attention and assertiveness, as well as reducing stress levels and becoming aware of the well-being produced by interaction with creativity and art.

The result is an exhibition of his works that can be visited, until the 5 in July, in the CuidArt room of the Dénia Hospital.

The exhibition is completed with the work done by Alicia Costa in patients victims of traumatic situations resulting from natural catastrophes, political conflicts or social inequalities. In the Dénia Hospital, the psycho-creative technique is taught from the art project cuidArt in the services of Oncology, Nephrology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry and in the Alzheimer's Family Center for the Sick, in the town of Teulada in Alicante.

The psychocreative technique of trauma detection is a technique used to detect psychological traumas derived from catastrophe and emergency situations. The methodology uses different sound systems that activate different areas of the brain to provoke emotions.
