The Real Club Nautico de Valencia welcomed the traditional "Trofeo Valenciavela infantil-Unicef Cup". A competition that counted on the participation of 164 sailors of the classes Optimist A and B of all the points of the Valencian Community. For six editions, this regatta is celebrated in collaboration with UNICEF, allocating a part of the registration fee of the participants to the different programs of the organization. This year, of the 10 euros of the inscription, 7 will be destined to the training campaign of UNICEF.
The race was the first scoring event for the Autonomous Cup of the classes Optimist A and Optimist B, which led to a high level at sea. The winner in Class A was Alfonso Moreno from the Canal Isabel II Sports Club. In Class B, which was where the sailors of the Real Club Nautico Denia, the winner was, Sergi Soler, Real Club Nautico Valencia.
The best of the representatives of the dianense club was Nicolás Gómez that finished in the 12º position with a total of 62 points, being the fifth in the absolute masculine classification. Arnau Muñoz ranked 19 with 93 points. Eduardo Reyes finished in the 27 post adding 119 points.
Something further back in the ranking were, Marina Arroyo who finished in the 43 position with 185 points. Julián Pérez in the 47 position with 200 points, Julia Martínez in the 50 position with 231 points, Marina Sala in the 56 position with 260 points and Carlota Gómez in the 83 position with 387 points.
