New feat of Alex Pella: breaks the record of the 'Tea Route' between Hong Kong and London

01 March 2018 - 13: 05

The navigator Alex Pella continues to star in feats at sea. Last Friday, 23 in February, managed to beat the record of the Tea Route, a route of more than 13.000 nautical miles that took them from the waters of Hong Kong to London, in 36 days, 2 hours, 38 minutes and 2 seconds. Pella did it in the trimaran Maserati, in which he sailed with the Italians Giovanni Soldini and Guido Broggi, the Spanish Oliver Herrera and the Frenchman, Sébastien Audigane.

A feat that has received multiple congratulations, such as the Sports and Tourist Port Marina de Denia, organizer of Boat Show of Dénia, of which Pella will again be an image in this year's edition.

The director of the Hall, Gabriel Martínez, stated that "That Alex supports our salon is a pride for us. He is the best navigator we have in Spain and understands nautical as we like it. Only with effort and passion are the challenges achieved. And he is demonstrating it in recent years".

For his part, Alex Pella wanted to thank the support of Marina de Dénia in all his races and commented that "In our country, few institutions work to bring people to the sea and the work that Marina de Dénia has been doing for many years has been worthwhile".
