Fine of EUR 75.000 Dénia for installing the gateway Albaranas-Bassetes

Although the resolution is last March, the City Council has not yet faced the payment of a fine of EUR 75.000 for the installation of a wooden walkway connecting the beach of Albaranas with Les Bassetes.

During his visit to Dénia, the provincial director of coasts, Rosa de los Rios, he reminded the mayor to be paid by 75.239 euros after the High Court dismissed the appeal filed by the City.

The events date back to 2010, when the council installed the wooden walkway that connects the beaches Delivery notes and Bassetes thanks to 150.000 euros of investment financed entirely by the Department of Tourism within the Prestige Plan for the Coast of the Valencian Community.

In November 2011, Director of Sustainability of the Coast and Sea Environment Ministry he decided disciplinary proceedings against the City Council Dénia for installing this gateway in the public domain sea-land when considered a serious offense. The City Council appealed but was dismissed.

    And there is no street lighting in the streets of Les Deveses is not a priority for the City Council after receiving the third warning of the Ombudsman and over having to read pulling 150.000 euros away by installing illegal footbridges over the sand? Not a priority the safety of citizens and residents of Les Deveses, Denia area belonging to and have to wander in complete darkness every night and feel the fear of possible attacks on the homes?
