On Saturday, September 8, the Dansa Folklòrica International Exhibition hosts the performance of the Malaga group "New Roots". It will be at 22 pm in the Plaza del Consell.
Folk Cultural "New Roots" of Villanueva de Algaidas Group is one of the most representative of the Andalusian Community, whose foundation was realized in the year 1991. Since then it performs the inalienable mission of defense of the Andalusian traditions, recovering the different geography Andalusian dances and traditional costumes of different peoples.
Led by Don Juan Carlos Navarro Suarez, professor of recognized national trajectory, this group has among its most representative dances, jots, fandangos, boleros, verdiales, seguidillas, malagueñas, etc. Traditional costumes with the different dances are interpreted, have over 300 years old, with some reproductions of his original, which makes this group unique in having such a diverse wardrobe and varied of various Andalusian towns . Its different presentations throughout Spain, has led to the group being applied in countries such as Portugal, Germany, Italy, France, etc.
His recent activities include recording the first disk volume collections of dances of our Andalusia and recovery and reproduction of a malagueño suit.
