Thousands of people take the center of Dénia to celebrate the start of the holidays

Fifth, clubs, groups of friends... no one wanted to miss this Saturday the start of the major party in honor of the Santíssima Sang in Dénia. From early in the morning the bars in the center filled with people to start the day with a good lunch and gather strength for the day's festive programme.

At the 12: 00 hours the crowd took over Els Quatre Cantons, where the music and animation of Sergio Dénia heated up the engines for the chupinazo, which shot, punctually, at the 13: 00 hours on the part of fifths Blanca and Marta.

In the afternoon the nerve center was the Calle Marques de Campo, where thousands of people gathered to set the first bullfight, the most crowded of all those held during the week. Some drops of rain made an appearance, but did not daunt the spirits of the first day of festivities.

At 19: 00 hours, the cattle made the journey to the port for the celebration of the first show of Bous a la Mar this year, which resulted in two minor injuries in the square that were treated in the Hospital de Dénia.
