Environment teaches schoolchildren to separate waste at home

The Department of the Environment has launched a project to raise awareness among Dénia schoolchildren about the importance of domestic waste separation. To this end, the educational centers will carry out various activities so that, by playing, children become aware of the benefits of waste management and separation.

As a novelty, kindergarten students will participate in the campaign by attending the representation of a dramatized tale that tells the story of an alien who comes to Earth and observe the different variety of containers so that the environment is not full of waste.

2º to students of Primary 4º held a team game, while students and 5º Primary 6º made a game of questions and answers on waste management.

The activity began on October 8 and will continue until November 19. Forty sessions in total that will take place in the Cervantes, Llebeig, Maristas, Montgó, Vessanes and PaidosWith an estimated population of about one thousand students participation.

The sessions have been sponsored by the Department of Environment, Water, Urbanism and Housing and Integrated Waste Management Systems (GIS).
