Breakfast Jauja, Maritime station of Dénia, hosted last Sunday the performance of Cuban pianist José María Vitier, who had the collaboration of Cuban drummer Abel Acosta.
More than two hundred people attended this musical event in which they could enjoy the musical combination of Cuban tradition mixed with the Afro-Latin touch of double bass and percussion, resulting in a vibrant work.
In the afternoon, Abel Acosta, who is also the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Cuba, was received at the City Hall by the mayor, Vicent GrimaltAnd the councilman of Culture, Rafa Carrió. During his visit, Acosta received a facsimile of the city title and learned about the history of Dénia and its illustrious neighbors, such as Juan Chabás, who died and was buried in Cuba.
