More than 400 health professionals trained in cardiac arrests

A total of 420 professionals, both primary care and the Hospital de Dénia, They participated in the first half of the year in the training of cardiac arrests in order to update knowledge, skills and techniques to solve situations of PCR and restore respiratory and circulatory functions of affected patients.

After four courses provided has assisted both personnel and non-medical care, so that the latter are trained to handle any emergency situation that may occur in the workplace or outside it.

The courses have been structured around four areas: Advanced PCR for Primary Care, Advanced PCR in the hospital environment, Basic PCR and Basic PCR for residents. Of the total number of participants, 250 professionals have done so from the different Health Centers spread throughout the Marina Alta: Benissa, Teulada-Moraira, Calpe, CSI2-Dénia, Gata de Gorgos, Jávea, Ondara, Pego, Pedreguer, Orba, Verger and CSI1-La Pedrera.

The importance of this knowledge is based on the fact that, every year in Spain, more than 42.500 people suffer a cardiorespiratory arrest. It is expected that, starting in October, the initiative will be resumed with the planning of practical PCR workshops with the help of simulation dummies.
