The 5 th day of the Regional Swimming League will be played this Saturday in Centro Deportivo Dénia, where more than two hundred swimmers from various municipalities of the Marina Alta in various tests.
CEMA organizes this regional swimming league, with the collaboration of the Municipalities of the Marina Alta and entities that manage the swimming pools.
The participating teams are Benissa, Poble Nou, Tonus-Vergel, Ondara, Pego, Aqualia-Denia and Pedreguer, the latter has joined the league this season. The different tests are disputed distributed in 2 calls. The 16: 00h will be the competitions in the categories Benjamin and Prebenjamín, while the 17: 30h, will take place in the categories Alevín, Infantil, Cadete and Junior.

Aqualia
Aqualia, the company that manages these sports facilities, is strongly committed to swimming, as this is one of the most complete and recommended sports to achieve a healthy life at any age.
For this reason, Aqualia grants 10 scholarships to 10 students every year of their swimming courses to join the competition team for free during the rest of the season. For this, the Sports Center holds an internal championship every spring where students can demonstrate their progress.
The scholarships, valued at 1.000 €, claim "maintain good health, promoting sports and healthy habits among the youngest ".
This initiative is encompassed within a framework of actions that the Aqualia company carries out nationally to promote sports and healthy habits.
Aqualia, which manages more than 20 sports centers throughout Spain, also promotes competitive sports among children. For this reason, its Levante delegation organizes the Intercentros swimming competition year after year, which is accessed by more than 4.000 students from different towns in Alicante and Murcia and where more than 8.000 € is distributed in direct prizes for the participants.
However, the sports center also offers swimming courses for adults of different levels and specific activities such as aqua-gym, matron and act. aquatic for babies. In addition to this, it offers therapeutic swimming and has a specific department for sports rehabilitation and injury recovery.
