El Dénia City Gastronómica Golf Tour, a promotion circuit promoted by the City of Dénia, has concluded the year 2018 celebrating a new test in its work of promoting the innumerable values as a tourist destination of the first magnitude of the Dianense locality.
On this occasion, the place chosen was El Bosque Golf Club, a Valencian reference tour where more than 120 people have known first hand the excellence of the Dianense locality, reaffirming itself as a place characterized by its multiple cultural, gastronomic options, of leisure and sport, with the added attraction of geographical proximity.
Highlight that, after organizing various events in various parts of the Spanish geography in 2016 and 2017, the Dénia Gastronomic City Golf Tour was internationalized in 2018 to celebrate in mid-July a major event in Iceland with the presence of the most important Touroperator of this Nordic island .
Apart from maintaining these initiatives, the goal during the 2019 year is to take it to the Italian town of Parma, also declared Gastronomic City.
The Dénia Gastronomic City Golf Tour is an initiative promoted by 2016 by the City Council of Dénia - headed by its Mayor and Tourism Councilor Vicente Grimalt - in order to promote the tourist season outside the usual months of sun and beach and promote complementary activities.
The Dénia Gastronomic City Golf Tour is one of the many initiatives related to the choice of this Alicante town as a Gastronomic City of UNESCO, an award that recognizes the creative tradition and the effort made over the last few years to turn Dénia into a gastronomic destination of first world level.
As a complement to its renowned gastronomic attractions, Dénia is located between 18 km of beach and the Natural Park Montgó, one of the best climatological zones in the world.
In the purely sports field, note that Álvaro Puchades, Victor García and Vicente Morata, all with 39 points, were the most prominent in the tournament within the first category, while Laura López-Almansa, with 40, topped the list of second category.
