More than 3.000 people claim in Dénia a train us know with the rest of the world

May 05 from 2017 - 20: 29

the society of Marina Alta and the Safor responded to the appeal made this Friday in Dénia. More than 3.000 people gathered in an emblematic place: next to the old train station, on La Vía street. There, since 1974, no northbound train has run, and not far from there, in the new station, none has circulated in a southerly direction since last July.

Reasons enough to meet the cry of "Volem the Train" and claim a defendant and necessary infrastructure in the area for both residents and for the thousands of tourists who visit us each year.

The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent GrimaltHe was the host of this event, thanking the support of the many entities that have joined the Dénia agreement and the presence of political representatives of municipalities throughout the region. Then read the manifesto by which society requires the central government the necessary measures to implement this priority infrastructure for the neighbors, but not so much for those who govern the country.

The president of Les Corts, Enric Morera, spoke after reading the manifesto to remember that it is "a claim of the Valencian people that, from here, we want to be heard loud and strong". Morera said "We do not resign ourselves to the fact that the necessary public works emanating from the state budgets have a social profitability for people and for the economy" after checking, he said, "the failure of works that do not take into account people's well-being".

The concentration ended with shouts of "Volem The Train" and a spontaneous performance by Lluis el Sifoner, who dedicated an album to the "carcamales" who do not agree to make a train a reality and leave us anchored in the past.
