Once the term for the presentation of candidacies is over, there are two people who apply to be mayors. On the one hand, mario vidal Sastre, 54 years old, Technical Architect by profession, municipal technician in the Els Poblets and Pego Town Halls for 10 years, who has worked as a liberal professional for more than 25 years. Vidal is closely linked to the neighborhood movement, being since 2013 president of the Associació de veïns del Montgó and the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Dénia.
On the other hand, aspires to be mayor by Gent de Dénia Julio Quintana Peiró, accountant of 57 years, president of the Pilots Association of the Marina Alta, great lover of aeronautics and tireless in his struggle to get an airfield for Dénia. Quintana is linked to the party of Moors and Christians, where at the moment it is first Tro of Filá Amiríes and Treasurer of FEMMICC.
Once the two candidates are known, next March 5, they will present their program and they will be voted so that the candidate for the mayoralty can be elected from among them Gent from Denia. From that moment a list committee will be formed, composed of the candidate and three people who will not be in the 10 top positions.
