The Department of Health of Dénia will publish from now on, and with a monthly periodicity, its main assistance indicators. The data, which have just been made public on the website of Marina Salud, are related to delays in the Surgical Waiting List, LEQ, for the specialties offered by the department; as well as the delays in External Consultations, also by specialties.
The indicators are shown compared with the latest data published by the Ministry of Health and Public Health and the Ministry of Health, which also includes data from the Valencian Community. It must be emphasized that the criteria established to compile the health indicators of the Generalitat Valenciana are common in the 24 health departments.
The department manager, Luis Carretero, has expressed that "Transparency is part of the culture of our Organization and is, without a doubt, a great tool to elaborate elements of judgment through comparison and, most importantly, it helps us to provide a better service to our patients every day".
