With the high season just around the corner and with a tourist scene still to be seen due to the new normality, Marina El Portet de Dénia has begun this week to prepare the beach. With an investment of 12.000 euros, the machines are working at this time to erase the consequences of the temporary glory that in January a large part of the Diane coast was swallowed up.
It should be remembered that the stretch of beach located next to its facilities was an administrative authorization carried out in 2016 and is valid until 2022. The director of Marina El Portet, Luis Mira, recalled that "On this stretch of coast is located the School of Sailing and Nautical Sports and a cafeteria that serves athletes and their families, as well as neighbors and tourists who come to enjoy the ideal conditions that are given here to exercise especially Kite Surf and Windsurf ”.
Mira also wanted to remember that this type of beach has an eminently sporty character "We have been organizers of the Spanish Championship 2019, the Spanish Cup in 2018 and 2019 and we are finalizing the details to host the Spanish Olympic Kite Surfing team".
Marina el Portet has several clubs that depend on its facilities, such as the Kayack Fishing Club, the Cruise Sailing Club and the Kite Surf Club where Dianenses Kiko Peiró and Sebastián Ducos, together with the Valencian Álex Climent are fighting to represent Spain in the Paris Olympics 2024.
