Manuel Terrín and Pep Calero win the XXI Poetry Contest Adolfo Acevedo Utor

Jury XXI Poetry Contest Adolfo Utor Acevedo organized every year by the Casa de Andalucía de Dénia has announced the winners of this edition. In Spanish, the winner was Manuel Terrín Benavides, from Albacete, who under the pseudonym Mayor Centaura signed book Metaphysical reflections.

The prize Valencian language is for Pep Calero i Martí by the book Haikus d'aquell Estiu, Who signed as Damiata Martorell. Both will receive a prize of € 1.000, 40 a certificate socarrat and copies of the free edition of his works.

The jury of this edition was formed by Vicent Balaguer, writer and chronicler; Amparo Casado, professor in literature; Toni Prats, philologist and poet; Inma Campos, philologist and writer; Francisco Cejudo, pedagogue and poet; and Alfonso Fuente, philologist. The secretary, José Vicente González and Pedro Ayala, responsible for this Contest, were present without voice or vote.

The awards ceremony will take place next Thursday 22 in December at the headquarters of the Casa de Andalucía at 20: 00 hours. There will be a poetic recital with a selection of poems from the winning books, accompanied on the guitar by the teacher, concert pianist and composer Joaquín Boscá. Finally, copies will be distributed and a wine of honor will be shared.
