Tomorrow Wednesday, 4 of July, the circulation in Dénia will decongest. It is the day of the opening to the traffic of the redeveloped Colón street.
It has been six long months of work in which the adaptation of the central lane with printed asphalt has been made, the renovation of the sanitation networks, drinking water, the removal of the asbestos from the pipes, and public lighting and the implementation of the network of rain.
On the south side of the street, a loading and unloading area has been created and a battery of underground containers has been installed, while on the north sidewalk mulberry trees will be planted and urban furniture installed.
The closure of the street to traffic has caused many inconveniences to drivers, whose routes have been diverted by the street La Vía. From now on, cars can return to circulate through this important and centric artery.
The redevelopment works of Colón street are one of the projects of the Plan Confianza in Dénia, as well as those that are being executed in San Francisco street, access to the Dénia Castle. Both works began at the same time, although those in San Francisco had an expected execution time of 4 months and have been extended for two more months.
