Friday January 15 was held at the Social Center of Denia the first Ordinary General Assembly of the Association of Neighbors Residents Calle Marques de Campo, in which the pedestrianization project of the area that has been heard a few months ago was widely discussed.
Curiously, this was not one of the items on the agenda, but the neighbors treated it in the plea and question section, and agreed to inform the Municipality of Dénia of the Association's desire to participate in the preparation of any project that affects the street with the aim of being able to contribute enriching ideas in this respect and not be mere spectators to "accomplished facts".
The attendees also put on the table the problem created after the opening this summer of a room that acts on weekends as a nightclub. Residents reported dirt, vomiting, urine in portals and high-pitched conversations in the early hours of the morning that do not help to get to sleep. To solve this problem, the neighbors will request a meeting with the councilor of the neighborhood, Eva Round, to transfer the situation from his point of view.
All the neighbors agreed on the need to strive to achieve a good coexistence between residents, merchants and hoteliers, the three groups that historically share this street.
Finally, the Assembly unanimously served to ratify the constituent Board of Directors, which is as follows:
