29 2020 April - 14: 57

The Governing Board held today has approved the proposal of the Councilor for Ecological Transition, Maite Pérez Conejero, to authorize, from next Monday, May 4, the access of the users of the urban gardens of Torrecremada to the premises, suspended since the decree of the state of alarm of March 14 last. This access may be made for the sole purpose of harvesting the crops that have been planted and performing maintenance tasks on the orchards.

Currently, there are 87 urban gardens registered in the Torrecremada park, which is municipally owned, divided into two phases, one with 39 plots and the other with 48.

The access of the users of both phases from May 4 will be made at the usual time but with established shifts to avoid crowds. The approved calendar is as follows:

PHASE I: 3 groups of 13 users each are established.

PHASE II: 3 groups of 16 users each are established.

The users have to fulfill some basic requirements: to move to the orchards, exclusively, to do the harvesting of crops and / or maintenance tasks; In addition, they have to carry out the activity individually, without interaction with other users and, finally, they will remain in the garden only for the time necessary to carry out agricultural tasks.

In addition, on their trips to the orchards they will have to carry as a supporting document, in case they are required by the authorities, a copy of the orchard award contract signed by the Dénia City Council.

All the actions approved today by the Dénia City Council have been agreed with the presidents of the two phases of the urban gardens.
