El CD Dénia held its ordinary general assembly attended by an approximate number of 50 members. Among those present, some former presidents of the entity who were very active, especially in the chapter of requests and questions.
The club's treasurer, Marta Marco, began by reading the minutes of the last assembly that was approved unanimously. Subsequently, he went on to detail the balance and economic report of the 2018-19 season. Accounts that did not clarify the doubts that most of the partners had. Some games were not clear, but Marco in his apology commented that it is "the documentation we have had, there are many things that have been done and we have not known them".
The economic chapter began the give and take between a directive where Juan Benavente tried to justify what many partners considered to be unjustifiable. There were reproaches to the performance of the Sports Director, Tano Bertó, on the part of the leaders, and as some partner told them, what Tano did was with the consent of the managers. The former president, Eric Barber, came out in defense of Bertó's management and qualified the consenting leaders, although he justified it by saying that “It was good for you to have it, he paid and none of you worked to inject money”.
Disapproval of a budget of 170.000 euros
The situation was again complicated for the board when the budget presented for the next campaign, estimated at 170.100 euros, was also not approved.
The partners argued for the disapproval of these numbers the lack of knowledge and the doubts that generate them that the needs can be fulfilled with that budget, since they were presented before approving the prices of the cards. By the way, for the next campaign the price of the different cards will be the same as that of the season that has just ended.
With the reprobation of the economic part, the social mass has shown the current board its dissatisfaction with the management carried out in the last campaign. Another of the former presidents, Pepe Bañó, advised Juan Benavente to set a date to call elections after seeing the response given by the members in the assembly.
With some budgets to pass the law, it is clear, those from the previous season are extended, but it leaves a directive whose actions do not convince its associates.
Little information about the sports project
After more than two hours of assembly, he missed the talk of a sports project. Some partner was interested in knowing something about this template, but not many explanations were given, rather few and focused on a very tight project will be made in order to save the category.
There was also no talk of a team such as the National League, a team that should be pampered since it is the one that should bear fruit in the most immediate future. It was hardly answered that the youth team coaches are titled people.
From the directive presided by Juan Benavente it was announced that the members will be summoned in an extraordinary assembly where more details of a management will be given in which to deal with what is most important for the leaders, tidying up the book of partners that currently has the club.
It simply means that the membership register book is as important as the book of minutes or the accounting book so that the members do not have doubts about the accounts presented at this meeting.
