The Historian Chabàs institute in Dénia has been the second stop of the campaign that the Mancomunitat Cultural de la Marina Alta (MACMA) is being carried out in the region to promote the image and work of the poet María Ibars.
The past 2 of February, the high school students of the center enjoyed this transversal initiative that aims, on the one hand, to raise awareness about the literary legacy of a fundamental writer within the local literature and, on the other hand, to bring the student a model of concert and some styles of music not too well known among teenagers.
The teacher and musician Jaume Ginestar interpreted the poem, and now song, Adolescence, a piece that Ginestar used to talk about the genesis of the recording and the inspiring power of poetry to compose music. Next to him was the MACMA manager, Jovi Lozano, who made an introduction to the activity.
This meeting will serve to strengthen the interrelation between creative languages and cultural stimulation of students. The MACMA will continue visiting the institutes of the Marina Alta throughout the first semester of 2018.
