This morning the 8ª Carrera Roscón de Reyes was presented to the media Marina de Denia, which will be held on Sunday 5 in January. The most important novelty of this year is that the Can Run category has been included, that is, it offers the possibility that participants can run with their dog.
“We have always sought to make this first race of the year very fun and I think that, with this novelty, we will hang the poster again with no dorsal numbers left”, said Gabriel Martínez, director of Marina de Dénia. For its part, Andrés Ponce, chief of operations of Marina de Dénia, commented that "It is not usual, that in these popular races dogs can participate, but we have thought that it can be a great incentive". The website includes the bases, with the requirements needed to run with pets.
The test will begin on Sunday 5 of January at 11 hours and from 10 hours the bibs will be delivered. Registration opens this afternoon, through www.conxip.com and they cost five euros. Last year 400 people participated and in this edition 50 dorsals have been increased by the theme of pets. The categories are: Children, Youth, Senior and Veterans, male and female and Can Run. The three winners of each category will be rewarded with a roscón de reyes. And all participants will be given a bottle of wine, a t-shirt and water. There will also be a special prize for the best costume and the most numerous club.
"Thanks to Marina de Dénia for her support in everything we do, as it is a guarantee for us", said Miguel Camarena, president of the Dénia Rem Marina Club and organizer of the race.
