The beauty of Dénia and its landscapes will become works of art for neighbors and visitors thanks to its characteristic look towards our most picturesque corners. And it is that, thanks to the initiative of the local artist Arminda García, has been launched Dénia, a work d'art, a project aims to promote the creative attitude and the aesthetic look through a series of frames that are arranged at strategic points in the city, inviting us to contemplate the scenes that appear through them.
The promoter of the project has explained that it is a game that "It facilitates the training of the aesthetic look linked to life and landscapes". In this way, there is an interaction with what surrounds us that fosters opportunities for interpretation and deeper appreciation of spaces, which "It allows us to free ourselves from the ordinary way of seeing things, to connect with the creative nature of the world".
This project is made up of three phases. The first is this, the installation of frames around the municipal area to enhance and frame scenes of nature and landscapes. At the moment, two have been located: one in the area of the Marina El Portet and another in the access to Cova Tallada (Milky Way street); and two new locations are being managed "meet the appropriate technical and artistic conditions", as explained by the technique of Culture, Maribel Font.
The second phase will consist of the installation of double-sided frames on busy streets "dare to contact what we see" and live the present as a work of art. A kind of "street meditation", according to García.
The third phase would involve a series of "Pictures" placing small frames in places of daily interaction, with which to practice a double contemplation and "Promote true encounter and presence, by not sustaining ourselves in the internal dialogue with which we filter the world", added the project director.
For the councilor of culture, Rafa Carrió, this activity "invites people to contemplate reality and everyday life through the framework as if it were a work of art".
Participatory community
Dénia, a work d'art it is a philosophical and artistic action that also seeks to create a community of participatory research to collect, nurture and make known the voices and actions that give light to the creative act and that will inspire these interventions in public spaces.
Therefore, among the actions of the project, is the creation and maintenance of channels in the networks where to share reflections around creativity and philosophical reflection. In addition, interpretive guided visits will be carried out that explain the conditions, possibilities and functioning of the aesthetic look, as well as the design of intervention proposals in these spaces.
