The next 18 in May commemorates the International Museum Day, an event celebrated every year by the department of archeology and museums of the City of Dénia with a week full of activities and cultural proposals. The activities will happen from the 12 to the 20 of May with the following programming:
Saturday, May 12
- 10: 30 hours: Visit with expert guide to the Cova de la Catxupa, cradle of Levantine rock art. The meeting point will be at Venta La Parra, km 187'5 of the N332 road
Sunday, May 13
- 10: 30 hours: visit Alto de Benimaquia. The participants will be in front of the La Xara station. The beginning of the road is next to the Occupational Center of La Xara.
Tuesday, May 15
- 11: 00 hours: Guided tour of the exhibition of Antonio Simó in the Plaza del Consell
Wednesday, May 16
- 11: 00 hours: Guided tour with expert guide to Toy Museum. Attendees will receive a brochure and a facsimile of the Arco Guide, by 1908.
Thursday, May 17
- 11: 00 hours: Guided tour with expert guide to Ethnological museum. Attendees will receive a brochure and a facsimile of the Arco Guide, by 1908.
Friday, 18 for May. International Museum Day
- 11: 00 hours: Guided visit to the Escalera del Duc de Lerma and the Palau del Governador del Dénia Castle. Meeting point: Castle visitor center. Free entry. A guide of the Castle will be distributed to all attendees
Saturday, May 19
- 10: 30 hours: visit Alto de Benimaquia. The participants will be in front of the La Xara station. The beginning of the road is next to the Occupational Center of La Xara.
Sunday, May 20

Those interested in participating in any of the activities can register by calling 96 642 02 60 from Tuesday to Sunday during 10: 30 to 13: 00 hours. During the visits, a student of the Higher Technical Diploma in Tourism of the Lycée Professionnel et Technologique La Providence, Cholet, who will be able to do simultaneous translations relevant to French.
