The Moors and Christians begin the procedures to be a Festival of Tourist Interest

February 14 from 2020 - 11: 42

Last night the FEMMICC, in the House of Culture, presented what will be the program for the festivities of Mig Any of Moors and Christians, as well as the poster that will announce them. The presentation was made by the president of the federation, Jaime Ferrer, accompanied by the positions of the Moorish and Christian captainships this year.

The programming this year will start on February 15, with the assembly and exhibition of the 39th edition of the children's drawing contest, with which they take advantage, with a video that they have taught to the different educational centers of the city, to explain to the most young people what the party consists of and involve them in its development.

It will last until Saturday 29, being that the strong day of Mig Any with the official festera midday at noon, to which this edition is added an informal closing retreat, already in the afternoon, in which they expect the ranks to invite participate to people outside the party and transmit it in this way to get involved. "We are sure it will work well"said Ferrer.

The poster that will accompany this party was announced by surprise, being designed by the artist Óscar Llamas. It depicts the surrender of the Moorish side in front of a Templar knight in what seems to be the north breakwater, where the landing is represented.

Way to be Festival of Autonomic Tourist Interest

Another big surprise of the night was the announcement of the beginning of the procedures to get the hallmark of the Festival of Regional Tourist Interest. This was announced by Miguel Ángel Fullana, who during the proclamation last August offered to the City Council to help achieve this goal, being "the best possible gift" for the 40th anniversary celebrated in 2020.

For this they have received the support of the session and of UNDEF. Although to achieve this, they must demonstrate the distinctive ranks of the party. The main banner for the proposal will be his work with future generations, where the Dianense party certainly stands out, with a children's parade with more than 500 children, and contests such as the aforementioned drawing among the little ones. Similarly, the landing considers it an important differentiating point.

The councilman of Fiestas, Óscar Mengual, confirmed the full support of the City Council to help as much as possible to achieve this objective, in which they are already working on compiling Tourism reports and the municipal archive. However, Mengual points out that the FEMMICC has to lead the proposal and that the council will help with everything required.
