Dénia will have the great opportunity to see in action the best kitesurfers to host one of the tests of the "Formula Kite Spain Series 2018 Circuit". This sporting event organized by Marina El Portet will take place from 25 to 27 in May, in waters near the northern breakwater, next to Marina El Portet.
The presentation of this sporting event took place in the Dianense town hall, with the participation of the mayor, Vicent Grimal, the mayor of sports, Vicent Crespo, Luis Mira, director of Marina El Portet, Miguel Sánchez, director of the Valencian Community Sailing Federation and Manuel Sánchez, Formula director of the Valencian Sailing Federation.
The municipal representatives explained that they will always support sporting events of this type, which help to deseasonalise tourism and that are a great attraction for visitors. Dénia is lucky to have the best wind conditions at the time of practicing this sport. Grimalt commented that, "something good should have this wind that we complain so much in Dénia, at least it serves to practice this spectacular sport".
Mira explained that, "Marina El Porter meets all the requirements for this competition to take place. Last year's experience with the Spanish Cup was highly positive" He noted that it is intended that in addition to enjoying the acrobatics of the participants in the water, the visiting public will also do so on land and for this purpose, recreational activities will be prepared.

Miguel Sánchez commented that recently this class has been designated as Olympic for the appointment in Paris, with which it acquires even more importance. The fact of having a learning school in Dénia is very important for a city that has the best wind conditions.
