The Torrecremada Gardens host the 'Riurau Film Festival 2018'

The Gardens of Torrecremada welcome, this next Saturday, at 21 hours, the "Riurau Film Festival 2018"(RRFF). In this edition, it will begin with the projections of the short films made by the students of the Escola de Cinema riurau Denia.

Next, a part of the general fiction section will be shown and after the break, the day will close with the Fiction section of Social Issues, this year dedicated to Gender Equality, a topic that since the last March 8 is still in full effervescence.

The incomparable setting of Torrecremada will once again shine in the light of more than a hundred candles and will welcome the audience to the sound of a trio of musicians who will enliven the entrance, the rest and the end of the session. There will be bar service and food by a gastroneta La LLandeta, Pego.

Recognition of talent

During this day Dianense the RRFF will give a special mention to the actress, Olga Alamán, Valencian actress recognized by the public and critics both for her work in film and television and who will attend for this special occasion.

Awards of the days

International Dance Film Encounter

Friday September 7 in Jesus Pobre, and with the support of the Veinal Board and its mayor, Javier Scotto, the "V Encontre International Dance Film", Organized by the Center Coreogràfic de Dénia, as the screening of the shorts from the sections of Film de Danza, Ficción LGTBI and Riurau Express.

It will take place in the plenary session of the EATIM Jesús Pobre from 11 to 14 hours with the participation of eight papers from the University of Zaragoza, the Music Conservatory and Dansa de València and two universities in Ankara (Turkey).

The screenings of Film de Danza, this year with the special participation, out of competition, of films sent by the special collaborator of this edition, the Merce Cunningham Foundation of New York. And then the short films of Ficción LGTBI and the short films of the Riuray Express filmed by the filmmakers enrolled on the 1 day in Jesús Pobre will be screened.

Transfer to Riurau d'Arnauda

On Friday September 11 the RRFF moves to the Riurau d'Arnauda from Xàbia where the conference "Reflections under the mirror will take place at 20 hours. Cinema and Marine Biodiversity ", organized by the Oceanogràfic Foundation and its Projecte Xàbia. This conference also announces the new Fiction block that will become part of the next edition of RRFF 2019, called "Mar Y Sostenibilidad".

Then, at the 21: 00 hours on Friday, 14, the screenings of the bulk of the General Fiction section will take place, completing the 15 Saturday of September at the same time, with the remaining projections of that section and the shorts of the Escola de Cinema Riurau de Xàbia.

The three venues of the festival will be livened up with live music. All will have a gastroneta with bar service, tapas and sandwiches.

This year's poster reflects the idea of ​​the film "Travel to the moon” by Georges Meliés, associated with the image of the riurau, a typical rural construction in the La Marina Alta and that gives the name to the festival.
