The Board of Directors of Círculo de Empresarios de la Marina Alta concluded in the last meeting of 2014, that the prosperity of the region depends on the existence of a true political will to provide it with the infrastructures it needs. Among others, the Tren de la Costa and endowments that are increasingly in demand, such as international schools.

The Federation requires the different administrations to act to improve the present and immediate future of the citizens of the Marina Alta. The meeting served to analyze the current situation of the region and of different projects that would propitiate its development.

All this as a result of news such as the rejection of Pedreguer Town Hall to the intermodal station of the Tren de la Costa in Denia. In the first instance, the possibility of appealing to the Xarxa d'Alcaldes was sought to seek consensus on the project. However, the idea was discarded, given that the underlying problem is lack of political will. So, once again, the conclusion is to require politicians to exercise their mandate, to make decisions and to provide the project with the necessary funds to make it happen as soon as possible.

In this regard, other current issues were discussed, such as the announcement that a foreign firm will invest 15 million euros to build a new international college in Jávea. He CEDMA Considers this a good news for the region and hopes that it will give rise to the creation of new centers of these characteristics since there is a growing demand. In addition to this project in Xàbia, there is another one to create an international school in Jesús Pobre presented by the investment company Euromontgó.

The firm has an 50.000 m2 extension land in which 9.000 m2 installations will be fully integrated, both in the environment and in the landscape, in the natural environment that surrounds them.

Now that the approval of a new PGOU (Structural Plan) for Denia is underway, it is time to take measures to encourage this kind of endowment, demanded by young Spanish and foreign families of high purchasing power who are looking for a suitable place in Marina Alta to Establish their residence. A very important public for the local economy. It should also be added that this new center would serve to create new school places in an area where they are not currently available.

Likewise, the meeting revealed the purpose of a group of CEDMA associate entrepreneurs that plans to create some wineries in Jesús Pobre. This is a very peculiar project by which it intends to make wines from the local vineyard grapes (as a cooperative) and sell also other native products such as raisins

The day for the Board also included a visit to one of the large companies in the region, Rolser. During the tour of the facilities in Pedreguer - some 21.000 m2 extension - Joan Server showed the ins and outs of the company. The visitors realized that Rolser is a leading and innovative company thanks to its 40 years of experience, its high level of self-demand and its constant evolution.
