Summer courses at UNED discuss education law

The Summer courses that the UNED organizes each year in Dénia They stand out for the variety in the themes and their ability to awaken the interest of the attending public.

Less than a month after its beginning -the July 9 begins-, we get to know more deeply the content of each one of them.

The July 16 will start "From freedom of education to the right to education: the LOMCE to debate", a course coordinated by the Doctor in Didactics Mª Dolores Moreno and directed by the Doctor in Law Faustino Fernández-Miranda. and that he will have among his speakers the Rector of the National University at a Distance, the Professor of History of Comparative Education Alejandro Tiana; Dr. Gustavo Suárez Pertierra, specialist in constitutional law and Church-State relations who stood out as Minister of Education, in the 90 years and Dr. Daniel Pelayo, who will deal with diversity in the classrooms.

The new system of external evaluations of the centers will be analyzed by Mr. Pedro Sigler, currently Head of the Evaluation and Studies Service of the General Directorate of Innovation of the Generalitat Valenciana. And to limit, in the Valencian area, the variations that directly affect us, the Autonomous Secretary of Education and Training of the Generalitat Valenciana, Rafael Carbonell, will attend as speaker. While the treatment of languages ​​in the LOMCE will be the responsibility of the teacher in Educational Sciences, Vicent Mas.

This course aims to acquire some historical and current perspective on education in Spain and try to answer some questions such as the lack of consensus among political groups when developing education laws, so changing depending on the color of the government of the day, also proposing that this alternation in educational models has a place in our constitutional regulations.

The course coordinator explains that "It is not only aimed at teachers and future teachers but the entire educational community as long as education is a central pillar of our society and as such it concerns all of us."
