The councilors who support the DGE PGE would be responsible for compensation of up to 300 million

14 December 2017 - 18: 07

The third participatory workshop around the General Structural Plan of Dénia that was held on Tuesday CEDMA and the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Dénia concluded with a fact to take into account: the councilors who support the document would be responsible for the possible patrimonial responsibilities derived from the plan.

Among others, there was talk of sectors such as B4, Bosc Diana or Hort de Morand, with agreements signed with the City of Dénia and that the PGE gives for finalized. If they reach the courts, the compensation could be close to the 300 million euros.

Ernesto López de Ayala, of the firm Pérez Segura y Asociados de Alicante, and urban planning expert, explained that, in addition to the City of Dénia, the Department becomes jointly responsible, given that it is this administration that ultimately approves the PGE. But also, and as it became clear, it is likely that responsibilities can be derived from the councilors who endorse this document in plenary. Regardless, "Who will really suffer the consequences will be the neighbors of Dénia".

To avoid this type of situation, the president of CEDMA, Sonja Dietz, he warned at the beginning of the workshop that "It is worth discussing to be the best possible plan for our future". In the same sense, the president of the Federation of Associations expressed himself, mario vidal, who stated that "It would be very important for all groups and all possible public participation to present the different allegations so that this comes with legal certainty to the citizen, because the PGE is for citizens, not for one political group or another".

Another of the points addressed is the imminent public exhibition of the Transitory Urban Planning Regulations (NUT) of the Conselleria, which, according to the documents of the webpage of said administration, is in contradiction in some sectors with the contents of the PGE of Dénia.

In the conclusions, the vice-president of CEDMA, Benito Mestre, warned - in addition to the economic consequences - about the serious problems of the industrial estate, explaining that "the polygon it is out of order due to the issue of building, which implies that if an entrepreneur suffered a fire in his ship, for example, he would be unable to rebuild it ".

On Tuesday 21 of December, and in the Captaincy Building of Marina de Denia, will take place the last of these sessions co-organized by CEDMA and the Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Dénia, and in which the document of conclusions will be presented that will serve as the basis for the allegations that will be presented to the PGE.
